| About us |

Hagia Soffia chapel and Ashram at Pennal is a place set apart for those who want to share sacred space together. It welcomes members of faith communities, those who are exploring spiritual paths as well as the curious. All are welcome in the spirit of mutual trust and genuine dialogue, love and understanding. |

We encourage people to come together to share common prayer and meditation, to discuss and to learn as well as sharing, “table-fellowship” and social events.
Sometimes we meet in groups; sometimes we can be alone to enjoy stillness and solitude. Individuals decide how they “tune into” the daily and weekly rhythms. |
| |
| Daily at 12 noon there is an opportunity for common prayer and meditation (sometimes lunch is shared). An interfaith liturgy (act of worship) is available to help focus on all the things we hold in common. Differences are acknowledged and not minimised or ignored, as we always endeavour to speak the truth in love. |

As a UNITY CHURCH we are part of an emerging global network committed to both inter-church and inter-faith relationships. This is a truly global spirituality that brings people from different cultures and religions together, to socialise, share silent worship as well as 'common prayer'. |
| |
| Rooted in the kind of fellowship that enjoys sharing and being together we try to face honestly and discerningly some of the challenging social and political issues of the day. |

Our inter-faith liturgy (act of worship) is evolving. Beginning with this prayer from the Rig Veda This is our hope:
Let us be united
Let us speak in harmony
Let our minds apprehend alike
Common be our prayer
Common be the end of our assembly
Common be our resolution
Common be our deliberations
Alike be our feelings
Unified be our hearts
Common be our intention
Perfect be our unity |
